how can we find joy she has left the building

love, adventures, experiences. Finding the dream is a journey in itself, but when you realize you’re more than what life has set out before you, ask yourself:

How can we find the joy we once knew?

If you read my blog, you know that the last few years have been very tragic for me, and I can say, life hasn’t gotten any better. I often sit wondering where the joy is and how I can attain it. Hell, if I were rich, maybe I could buy it because we all know, money buys everything.

They say money is the root of all evil, but I believe money is the key to living. People do not understand the concept that you need money for all the necessary parts of your life, and without it, you cannot survive.

I visualize the life I want, being rich and not having to worry about money most nights, and the same words come up:

DID YOU MISS  What we feel does not always match what we process

Am I happier?

The question, or rather the story, should be that money makes me comfortable enough to be able to work on all the other aspects of my life. The deeper issues are nagging at me, and at 60, I am left with nothing, no value, no purpose, no results. There is a new commercial on television about a little boy who is suffering from mental illness, and he says:

“I haven’t been happy” – those thoughts are real, and I can relate. Funny thing is, I have never been happy because joy has never really found a place in my life. I know you are thinking, what about my children? Yes, they brought me a fulfillment that can’t be replaced, that is, without a doubt, but when you think about the journey, children grow up, and at some point, you are no longer in charge of them. Parents go through this phase when the kids leave the nest, even though they sometimes need us for money or something else, but it isn’t the same as the fulfillment.

DID YOU MISS  Embracing Failure at Life: Finding Strength and Purpose in Adversity

At the end of the day, I live my life day by day, hoping for some glimpse of happiness, finding that purpose and joy and reminding myself that I can’t change the journey because it is laid out for me. That is my reality.
